Stratus Takes Over Latin Television

SANTA MONICA, August 20: Stratus Entertainment has taken
over all of the assets of the youth-focused Hispanic network Latin Television
(LTV) from the previous owners, who last month announced plans to exit the
broadcasting business in order to focus on launching a sports publication.

Last month, LTV’s previous owners acquired The League
Magazine after deciding to exit the Hispanic broadcasting landscape. Stratus
has taken over all of LTV’s broadcasting assets and is changing its name to
Latin Television. Derek Jones, Stratus’s president, commented: "The
acquisition of the Latin Television assets presents an opportunity to enter
into one the fastest-growing segments of our current culture, with the rapidly
expanding growth of the Hispanic community. The business model of the new core
business has tremendous potential, in that I believe that we are in the right
market at the right time."
