CBS Films Appoints New Senior VP

LOS ANGELES, October 7:
CBS Films has named former Warner Bros. Pictures executive Mimi Slavin as
senior VP of strategic planning and promotions, where she will be responsible
for overseeing strategic initiatives to support the studio’s slate.

Slavin will work with
Debbie Miller, the head of worldwide marketing for the new film division within
CBS Corporation, to form collaborative marketing relationships with the
portfolio of media assets within the company. She will also be responsible for
securing and maximizing third-party promotional partnerships.

Prior to joining CBS
Films, Slavin worked for Warner Bros. Pictures, where she served as senior VP
of promotions and spearheaded promotional partnerships and programs for
numerous domestic theatrical releases including Get Smart, Happy Feet and Superman Returns.

“Mimi is a highly talented
marketing executive, with a proven ability to translate strategy into
impressive promotional campaigns for films of every genre and size,” said
Miller, to whom Slavin will report. “Her energy and creativity, along with her
extensive experience as a liaison both cross divisionally and with outside
companies, make her a perfect choice for this position.”

“I am very excited to join
the CBS Films team,” Slavin said. “I’m impressed with their approach and look
forward to working with the other CBS Corp. divisions to further cross-company
integration, building on all the valuable assets, to create maximum success for
all. And, of course, I am thrilled to be able to again work with Debbie
(Miller), with whom I was able to accomplish terrific programs and exceptional
inter-departmental cooperation, during my time in WB theatrical.”
