Starz Orders New Episodes of Head Case

NEW ORLEANS, May 21:
Production will begin in August for ten new episodes of the half-hour
improvisational original comedy Head Case, to air on Starz.

Alexandra Wentworth will
reprise the role of Dr. Goode, alongside Emmy-nominated actor Steve Landesberg,
who returns as the Dr.’s Freudian sidekick, and Michelle Arthur, who runs the
office. Celebrities slated to appear this season will be announced soon. Head
Case
is a co-production between
Starz Entertainment and a Different Beast, with Wentworth serving as an
executive producer, along with Robert Bauer and Jason Farrand.

"The cool thing about
this series is, that although it is a parody of the Hollywood lifestyle, it
often comes awfully close to the real thing," said Stephan Shelanski,
executive VP of programming for Starz Entertainment. "Ali nails the
'close-to-the-edge' Dr. Goode, who should be seeking some therapy herself
instead of giving it."

"The guest stars love
the improv aspect of the show," added Wentworth. "They are given the
chance to add their own dialogue, which hardly ever happens, and is a breath of
fresh air for them."
