Sprint, McFarlane Toys Announce Products for 24

OVERLAND PARK/TEMPE,
January 12: With the new season of 24 set to launch on FOX this weekend, Sprint has announced that sneak
peeks of this season’s episodes will be available to its subscribers, while
McFarlane Toys has unveiled two action heroes based on the show’s protagonist,
Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland.

Sprint subscribers with
Power Vision-capable handsets will be able to access clips from upcoming
episodes, trivia questions from seasons past, a “survival guide” and a chance
to win an all-expenses-paid trip to a spy camp: Incredible Adventures Covert
Ops in Florida. Also available are ring tones, wallpapers and games. Sprint is
also integrated into the story line of 24 with its Nextel Walkie-Talkie.

“We’ve been building this
relationship with the show since season one and as its popularity has grown, so
too have the content and exclusive benefits that we are able to offer to our
customers,” said Anita Newton, VP of marketing for Sprint. “Few shows today are
fortunate enough to have fans like 24.

As for the action figures,
via a deal between McFarlane Toys and 20th Century Fox Licensing
& Merchandising, the two versions of Bauer are expected to hit store
shelves in August and December 2007.

"Without question, 24 is one of TV's biggest cliffhanger programs,"
said Todd McFarlane, the CEO of McFarlane Toys and also the creator of Spawn. "Kiefer Sutherland does an amazing job as
Jack Bauer, the biggest reason people tune in each season. I know a lot of our
fans will be excited to hear about us making figures of one of TV's top action
stars."
