Spiketv.com Aligns with iFILM

NEW YORK, March 26: iFILM
and spiketv.com, both divisions of MTV Networks, have integrated under the
Spike brand in an effort to create a leading web platform and strengthen their
reach for males aged 18-34.

As part of the
integration, MTVN Entertainment Group plans to leverage Spike TV's brand and
on-air promotion power to elevate iFILM in the web video landscape. In turn,
spiketv.com will draw on the iFILM platform to stake out a position as the
go-to viral video site for guys. The content featured will be edgy, ranging from
original broadband video series and user-generated content to blogs that are
written by guys for guys. This integration will also result in significant
economic advantages from combining management, sales, marketing, technology and
programming, driving online CPM growth by attaching iFILM to a premium brand
such as Spike TV, which enjoys 93 percent recognition among male consumers.

The newly created
iFILM/spiketv.com group will report to Erik Flannigan, the SVP of digital media
at MTVN Entertainment Group. As a result of this integration, Blair Harrison,
the president and CEO of iFILM, will relinquish his responsibilities at iFILM,
and is currently in conversation with MTV Networks to explore what he might do
next inside or outside the company.

"We are very excited
about our plans for the integration of iFILM and spiketv.com," said Doug
Herzog, the president of the MTVN Entertainment Group. "This transition is
an evolution, not a revolution. By aligning these two sites, we are drawing
upon the best of both companies to accelerate our growth and profitability in
the digital space."
