Sparky Adapts Mr. Moon Books

SINGAPORE: Sparky Animation in association with Skaramoosh and Title Entertainment have adapted the children’s book property Mr. Moon as a preschool series.

The Mr. Moon character was created by writer/illustrator Kate Veale. The series follows Mr. Moon, his friends Sunny, Silva Star, Goldstar and his little red "Supafast Rocket." The show is done in CGI with digital painted backgrounds. In the series, Mr. Moon and his friends go on adventures all around the universe exploring planets, stars, constellations, black holes, nebulae and galaxies. The 52×11-minutes series is being made in HD and will feature original composed songs and music in each episode. The co-producers are expected to announce the lineup of broadcasters for the series ahead of MIP Junior and MIPCOM.

Sparky’s founder, Wong Kok Cheong, said: "Space has always been a source of unending mysteries, but almost no books or TV shows have ever attempted to break down those mysteries for preschool children. Mr. Moon the TV series does just that, through playful storytelling and simplification of facts about the universe."
