Smithsonian Channel Rolls Out Original Three-Part Series

SAN FRANCISCO, December 14: Smithsonian Channel is set to
air Hidden Armor, Found Treasures, a new
three-part series dedicated to examining antique arms, armor and other
treasures, throughout December and January.

The three half-hour shows will be hosted by Greg Martin and
co-hosted by Malou Nubla, a two-time Emmy Award-winning television host. Martin
is an antique weapons specialist and collector, TV personality and author. He
also heads the San Francisco-based auction house, bearing his name, which is the
leading auction house in the U.S. for antique arms and armor.

According to Martin, the show features some of the amazing
discoveries that people have hidden away in their attics or basements.
"Like searching for Easter eggs, this show captures the thrill of the
hunt," he said. "We think a program that combines human interest,
history, discovery and profit is an authentic reality show that will intrigue
many people—and given the subject matter, men in particular."

The series is produced by Michael Hoff Productions, an
American factual television producer.

Smithsonian Channel is owned by Smithsonian Networks, a
joint venture between Showtime Networks and the Smithsonian Institution. The
venture was formed to create new channels that will showcase scientific,
cultural and historical programming largely inspired by the assets of the
Smithsonian Institution, the world’s largest museum complex.
