Sky Eyes Tiscali U.K. Deal

LONDON, November 3: BSkyB is said to be in exclusive talks to
acquire Tiscali's British broadband operations for a reported £450 million.

According to the British press, the deal, if completed, would make
Sky the third-largest broadband supplier in the U.K. with some 3.6 million
customers.

Tiscali, which has about 1.8 million customers in the U.K.,
confirmed on its website that it is in talks with Sky. The company has been on
the auction block since May. The most recent bidder, Carphone Warhouse,
recently pulled out of the negotiations.
