Si TV Announces New Development, Production Deal

LOS ANGELES, August 8: Si TV,
the U.S. English-language cable network targeted to the 18 to 34 demographic in
the Hispanic market, has partnered with Maria Perez-Brown and her production
company, Dorado Entertainment, to develop and produce multiplatform content.

Perez-Brown will commence
immediately and will report to Si TV CEO Michael Schwimmer. She is tasked with
developing programming for Si TV to air on its linear, broadband, VOD and
mobile services.

"Besides being a highly
accomplished creator and producer of award-winning television, Maria is a dynamic
individual who truly understands our audience: young, acculturated
Latinos," Schwimmer said.

Perez-Brown has consulted with
Venevision, RCN and Televisa in the development and adaptation of their
Spanish-language formats for U.S. television audiences. In addition, last year
she executive produced the 20th Anniversary of the Hispanic Heritage Awards
from the Kennedy Center. The program aired on NBC and on Telemundo.

Perez-Brown is the creator and
executive producer of Taina, a
live-action comedy series that aired on Nickelodeon about a 15-year-old Latina
caught in between two cultures; and of Gullah Gullah Island for Nick Jr.

The announcement of
Perez-Brown’s development and production deal came alongside news that the
channel’s senior VP of programming and production, Ed Leon, is stepping down
“to pursue new opportunities.”
