Showtime to Air Comedian’s Special, New Series

LOS ANGELES, August 5:
Comedian Russell Peters will premiere his latest special, Red, White and
Brown
, on Showtime and will host
the channel’s new stand-up series Comics Without Borders next month.

Red, White and Brown, which will air September 4 at 10 p.m., features
material from the comedian’s homecoming tour and includes tales of his travels
to India and Dubai. The special is recorded live before a sold-out audience at
The WAMU Theatre at Madison Square Garden.

Comics Without Borders, a half-hour nine-episode series, will premiere
September 11 at 10 p.m. and will showcase multicultural stand-up comedians. Comics

produced by Scott Montoya, Gary Binkow, Russell Peters, Clayton Peters, Michael
Green and Jeff Golenberg and is produced by Salient Media.

During his 19 years as a
professional comic, Peters has headlined and sold out shows across the world.
He is the first comic of South Asian heritage to sell out Madison Square
Garden.
