Shaftesbury Readies New Season of ReGenesis

TORONTO, September 27: Shaftesbury Films has begun principal
photography on a third season of the award-winning drama series ReGenesis for Showcase, The Movie Network and Movie Central.

Production on 13 new episodes will take place in Toronto and
Hamilton until December 21. “It’s wonderful to see season three up and running
right on the heels of 11 Gemini nominations,” says Christina Jennings the
series’ creator and executive producer. “We’re very pleased with the Canadian
and international success of the show and the recent addition of Showcase to
the broadcast family which already includes The Movie Network and Movie
Central. And finally, being able
to get Wendy Crewson, who we have worked with many times, to join the cast just
makes this season all that more special.”

Crewson (24, Hunt
for Justice: The Louise Arbor Story, The Many Trials Of One Jane Doe) will be joining the cast of ReGenesis as Rachel Woods, a new virologist in the NorBAC lab.
The role marks Crewson’s Canadian television series debut.

ReGenesis is
distributed worldwide by Oasis International and is currently broadcast in 14
territories and 80 countries.
