SevenOne Sets Focus on Formats

MUNICH: A broad range of formats will be on offer from SevenOne International at MIPCOM, including the hit Benidorm Bastards.

Benidorm Bastards was the winner of the 2010 Rose d’Or for best comedy program and best program. The hidden-camera show follows senior citizens as they roam the streets and blow the minds of as many young people as they can. Also on offer is the game show My Man Can, which features four women who test the skills of their partners and gamble on their ability to perform a range of tasks.

The sciencetainment show The Insider features two presenters exploring the human body, featuring top-quality special effects and 3D animations. YOU Deserve IT! is a game show where the contestant is playing on behalf of someone deserving the prize. It comes from Dick de Rijk, the creator of the smash hit Deal or No Deal.

M!LF: Man Liberation Front is produced from a self-built studio full of men, as the two hosts deploy candid interviews, sketches, commercials, inventions, game shows and more. The long-running real-estate show House Hunt mixes practical information on real estate, building tips, architectural highlights and a portion of house hunting.

The game show League of Balls watches tough men facing some of the hardest challenges in the world. The King of Crafts watches six celebrities compete against each other in a range of handicraft challenges, that will then be judged by children.

Rounding out the slate are Our National Pride, looking at expats who have moved all over the world, and The Sausage Millionaire, watching couples prove they can handle the grill.

Jens Richter, the managing director of SevenOne International, said: "I’m thrilled to go to Cannes. With the Benidorm Bastards winning the Golden Rose for best program, My Man Can‘s success in China, Dick de Rijks new game show YOU Deserve IT! and the outstanding sciencetainment show The Insider we have the most exciting and versatile new lineup of all times."
