SevenOne Continues Sales for The Successor

MUNICH,
July 30: TV Channel Russia is the latest broadcaster to take on SevenOne
International’s hit format The Successor, launching what is likely to be called Fenom at the end of August.

The show, which searches
for a nation’s next great mentalist, will launch into an eight-episode run on
TV Channel Russia in prime time on Saturday nights. Uri Geller will take over
the role of juror and mentor, with Denis Semenikhin as the host.

The Successor has sold to eight countries, including Germany, the
Netherlands, Hungary and Turkey, and aired in the U.S. on NBC and Canada on CTV.
On Keshet in Israel, where the format originally aired, the show garnered the
highest audience share of any TV show in the history of Israeli TV.

Jens Richter, the managing director of SevenOne International,
said: "TV Channel Russia is an excellent partner. And in terms of its
content, The Successor with Uri
Geller fits in perfectly with Russia, a country that has often been said to
have a mystical soul. We are positive that TV Channel Russia will be as
successful with Uri Geller as all the other channels before."
