SET Launches as SVOD Offering in the U.K.

LONDON: Sony Pictures Television has struck a deal to launch Sony Entertainment Television (SET) on BT Vision’s digital on-demand TV service in the U.K.

This is the first U.K. launch for SET, which offers top U.S. dramas such as Damages and The Shield. Also launching on BT Vision is Sony Retro, a television offering boasting classic hits such as Charlie’s Angels, Starsky & Hutch and Diff’rent Strokes. These offerings are available via pay per view or through subscribing monthly to BT Vision’s TV pack. Sony Entertainment Television is already airing in 95 million households in 103 countries.
