SDI Acquires Mexico-Based Dubbing Company

LOS ANGELES, March 13: The translation, subtitling and
dubbing services outfit SDI Media Group has acquired the Mexican dubbing
company Prime Dubb, whose recent theatrical credits include Ice Age: The
Meltdown, Madagascar
and Star
Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

In order to further increase its Spanish-language dubbing
capacity, SDI is also building a new dubbing facility in Mexico City to
complement Prime Dubb’s existing operation.

This announcement follows SDI’s recent acquisitions of the
dubbing companies Sun Studio in Europe and Sound Supply in Hong Kong. “We will
continue to invest in our dubbing business in order to provide our clients with
a complete solution for their global dubbing needs,” said Barry Perlstein, SDI
Media’s CEO. “Prime Dubb is a perfect fit for SDI and enables us to deliver
high-quality dubbing in a key market.”
