Scripps Showcases New Food Network, Cooking Channel Shows

NEW YORK: A total of 20 new series and 22 returning shows are headed to Food Network and Cooking Channel for the upcoming season, Scripps Networks announced at its Upfront presentation.

At Cooking Channel, highlights include, from Shaftesbury, From Spain with Love, which premieres in May. Also for prime time are Eat St., Unique Sweets, The Originals with Emeril, and Hook, Line & Dinner. New daytime offerings are led by a new cooking series with Ching-He Huang, host of Chinese Food Made Easy; The Perfect 3; and Baking Made Easy for the fall. Returning to the channel are Unique Eats, From the Kitchens Of, Chuck’s Day Off, Kelsey’s Essentials, Food(ography), Everyday Exotic, Bitchin’ Kitchen, Hungry Girl, Brunch @ Bobby’s, Rachael Ray’s Week in a Day, Extra Virgin and Spice Goddess.

At Food Network, upcoming prime-time shows include Have Cake, Will Travel, Best in Smoke, Crave, Heat SeekersTough Cookies, Chef Hunter, Sugar High, Halloween Wars and Supersizers. Headed for the daytime grid are Pioneer Woman, a new series from the season seven winner of Food Network Star, and a show featuring country star Tricia Yearwood. Back with new seasons are 24 Hour Restaurant Battle, Chopped, Food Network Star, Cupcake Wars, Restaurant: Impossible, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, The Great Food Truck Race, The Best Thing I Ever Ate and Worst Cooks in America, plus Next Iron Chef: Celebrity (working title).
