What are some of your top properties for MIPCOM?

 

Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin, a culinary travel series; 5 Ingredient Fix, a cookery program; Dear Genevieve, a home design show featuring HGTV Design Star’s Genevieve Gorder; House Crashers, a home renovation series; and Surprise Vacations with Karen Duffy, a travel show that rewards deserving people.

Why will these programs appeal to buyers?

 

Our new programs represent our continued effort to provide top quality lifestyle content for the global market. We’re committed to cultivating young, fresh talent such as Claire Robinson in 5 Ingredient Fix, while also attracting established celebrities such as Jeff Corwin and Karen Duffy, stars of Extreme Cuisine and Surprise Vacations, respectively. We strive to create programming that not only engages an audience but inspires them to do more with their lives, whether trying a new recipe, redesigning a living space, or traveling to an unexplored destination.
 

What are some of the trends you’re currently seeing in this market?
The global economic crisis has led viewers worldwide to examine their priorities more closely, and many are rediscovering the simple joys of home and food. Our programs address those passions, from do-it-yourself ideas for redesigning and renovating one’s most substantial investment, the home, to ideas and recipes for entertaining family and friends at home. As the economy improves, viewers will continue to find in our vast library of content inspiration and instruction for enriching their everyday lives.

What are your goals and expectations for MIPCOM?
Our primary goal is to continue expanding international awareness of Scripps Networks and its bouquet of exceptional brands – HGTV, Food Network, DIY, and Fine Living – as well as further establishing our status as the leader in lifestyle media.
