Hanapole Appointed Chief Information Officer of STAR

HONG KONG, November 8: STAR has named Edward Hanapole to the
newly created position of chief information officer, with responsibility for
developing the company’s digital technology and new-media capabilities across
the region.

Hanapole most recently served as VP of global technology for
News Corporation, the owner of STAR. His duties included leading efforts to
increase content and technology sharing among News Corporation’s Internet
properties.

“Edward joined us from the News Corporation Global
Technology Group,” said STAR’s COO, Laureen Ong, to whom Hanapole will report.
“He is an experienced digital media executive with strong vision and a passion
for innovation. His credentials and experiences will be of great value to STAR
as the company seeks to expand its digital services in the region.”
