More Storm Chasers for Discovery

NEW YORK: A third season of Original Media’s Storm Chasers is set to air on Discovery Channel this fall.

The series gives a firsthand look at one of nature’s most destructive forces, the tornado. It follows professional storm chasers Reed Timmer, Tim Samaras, IMAX filmmaker Sean Casey and veteran research meteorologist Dr. Joshua Wurman as they battle the elements, racing into the eye of the storm to capture rare footage and valuable scientific data. The show first premiered on Discovery Channel in fall 2007, and has been a strong performer for the past two seasons.

Original Media’s CEO, Charlie Corwin, commented, “We’re thrilled to continue our successful relationship with Discovery and have the opportunity to further showcase the captivating stories of Storm Chasers.”

John Ford, the president and general manager of Discovery Channel, added, “Storm Chasers is truly can’t look away television. The series is a perfect mix of thrills, fun and knowledge and it’s our viewers who get to call virtual shotgun, riding along with our chasers through amazing storm sequences.”
