SCI FI, RHI In TV-Movie Deal

NEW YORK, October 10: SCI FI has licensed a slate of new TV
movies from RHI Entertainment, including Hellhounds, directed by Ricky Schroder.

The deal includes the basic cable rights for five new horror
and thriller projects. Two have already wrapped production on location in
Romania, including Hellhounds, which is
set in 500 B.C. and stars Scott Elrod as a Greek warrior who fights against the
demonic hellhounds of Hades in order to rescue his bride and bring her back to
life. The other film that has wrapped production is Rise of the
Gargoyle
, with Eric Balfour as a struggling
author in Paris who finds himself face to face with a real-life version of the
stone gargoyles he’s been studying all of his life.

The other films are also being shot on Romania: Alien
Western
, Carney and Sand Serpents. All are produced for RHI by Muse Entertainment
Enterprises. RHI will handle distribution in key territories worldwide.

Thomas Vitale, the senior VP of programming and original
movies at SCI FI Channel, noted: “RHI understands our audience and knows how to
deliver the kind of powerful, edge-of-your-seat entertainment our viewers
crave. These movies will be a great addition to our Most Dangerous Night of
Television weekend franchise and we look forward to seeing them on our air.”
