SCI FI Axes SG-1

NEW YORK, August 22: Stargate SG-1 from MGM Television will end its run on the SCI FI
Channel at the end of its current tenth season, but its spin-off, Stargate
Atlantis
, has been renewed for a fourth
season.

The news comes just a few days following the broadcast of
the 200th episode of Stargate SG-1, which joined the SCI FI lineup in 2002 after a run on the Showtime
network. The show airs its midseason finale in September and will return in
March, leading up to its series finale in June.
