Sanrio Digital Scores Sales for Hello Kitty

TOKYO, March 14: New deals
have been inked for Sanrio Digital’s The Adventures of Hello Kitty &
Friends
, produced together with
Dream Cortex and distributed by Typhoon.

The first episodes were
broadcast in early February on TVB Jade in Hong Kong and Cartoon Network Italy.
Additional sales have been made with MediaCorp in Singapore, RTP in Portugal,
MTV3 in Finland, Cartoon Network in Taiwan, GMA7 in the Philippines, TV2 in
Norway, TIGA in Thailand and the Carrere Group in France. A host of additional
deals are in their final stage of negotiations and soon to be announced.

The 52 12-minute episodes
of The Adventures of Hello Kitty & Friends embrace the themes of happiness, family and
friendship, and include all the well-known Sanrio characters, among them Hello
Kitty, Dear Daniel, My Melody, Keroppi, Badtz Maru, Pochacco and others. The
show is the first Sanrio Digital series made in Hong Kong, and is also the
first-ever series made entirely by advanced CGI technology that presents Hello
Kitty and her friends in an all-new 3D digital body.
