S-VOX Offers Free Airtime for Haiti Relief Efforts

TORONTO: Canada’s S-VOX is offering free airtime on all of its broadcast properties to humanitarian aid organizations delivering relief to Haiti, following last week’s devastating earthquake.

S-VOX operates the Canadian basic cable network VisionTV, local stations Joytv 10 in the B.C. Lower Mainland and Joytv 11 in Winnipeg, and the digital service One: the Body, Mind & Spirit channel. In other relief efforts, S-VOX has produced special programming on the crisis in Haiti and has organized an employee fundraising challenge.

S-VOX’s president and CEO, Bill Roberts, said: "Our thoughts are with the people of Haiti, who must summon immense courage in this hour of hardship. As citizens of a wealthy country, we have a moral obligation to reach out to those in such great need. S-VOX encourages all of its viewers and partners to lend all possible support to humanitarian relief efforts."
