DRG Enters Exclusive Partnership with 44 Blue

LONDON: Digital Rights Group (DRG) has signed a two-year exclusive first-look deal for international rights to 44 Blue Productions’ slate, along with inking a development agreement with the Los Angeles-based outfit.

All programming acquired and developed through the deal will be distributed under the DRG America banner. As part of the first-look deal, DRG has already signed on for two new projects being piloted for truTV for international sale and is actively discussing new projects. 44 Blue creates more than 150 hours of content every year in the nonfiction, reality, how-to, lifestyle and action-adventure categories.

Andrea Jackson, the managing director of acquisitions at Digital Rights Group, commented, “We are delighted to establish this new collaboration with 44 Blue, which is part of our ongoing strategy to partner with the best production talent around the world. The deal will allow us not only to acquire a wealth of programming with huge international potential but also the opportunity to tap into 44 Blue’s vast expertise to develop innovative and exciting new content”.

Rasha Drachkovitch, the founder and president of 44 Blue Productions, added, “This agreement will help us to maximise the global reach for all 44 Blue programming.  We’re looking forward to working with DRG and sharing our library of reality, lifestyle and action-adventure shows with the world.”
