Russian Deal on SevenOne Science Magazine

MUNICH, March 12: SevenOne International has clinched a deal
for its science magazine Galileo to
launch in Russia on STS.

The ProSieben show will be adapted for the Russian channel
by Berlin-based Victoria Production, which acquired 30 episodes and more than
300 segments from the show. Most of the German reports will air dubbed in
Russian, but Victoria is establishing a dedicated studio set for the show in
Moscow; for the first five episodes, production was completed in Germany in a
ProSieben studio.

SevenOne International has already sold the program to TV
stations in Italy, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Poland, Thailand and China.

Jens Richter, the MD of SevenOne International, commented:
“First-rate “science-tainment” programs like Galileo are in high demand internationally. Galileo explains common, technical, and scientific phenomena
in an exciting, entertaining, and understandable way. Its concept has been
popular not only in Germany but also worldwide. Having Galileo air on the Russian station STS is yet another
success for the program and for SevenOne International.”
