Russian Adaptation for TV Azteca Novela

MEXICO CITY: Channel One in Russia this week launched Stray Angel, a local adaptation of the TV Azteca novela New Love.

The 85×1-hour series is airing daily at 9:30 p.m., produced by Russian World Studios and directed by Alexander Sukharev. The drama series tells the story of a mother and daughter, who don’t know that they are related, as they become rivals in their quest for the same man. Charming and cheerful Alyona Nekrasova has many friends and a good job. The only dark cloud in her life is the sordid past of her father, a former thief. Only a few people in Alyona’s life know this secret and when her boyfriend parents find out they forbid him to see her. As Alyona wanders around the city distraught she is being followed by Alexander Khabarov, a tall and handsome young man who she will soon meet under incredible circumstances.
