Rugby League World Cup to Air on Fox Sports

LOS ANGELES, May 8: Fox
Sports is set to broadcast nine Rugby League World Cup matches live and has
secured the delayed rights for all tournament matches.

The Rugby World Cup kicks
off October 25, with the network’s first live match, between Scotland and
France, scheduled for October 26. Fox Sports will provide coverage of all the
on- and off-field news online at foxsports.com.au and via the 24-hour Fox
Sports New Channel.

Fox Sports’ CEO, David
Malone, said; “Rugby League coverage on Fox
Sports continues to be successful and the addition of the World Cup matches to
the Fox Sports schedule is fantastic for
the fans.”

“Fox Sports has enjoyed a
long association with Rugby League and this announcement offers our viewers
even greater coverage on our channels in 2008,” he added.
