Rose d’Or to Remain in Lucerne

LUCERNE, October 24: The new managers of the Rose
d’Or Festival have announced that the event will remain in Lucerne for its
upcoming edition, slated for May 5 to 9, 2007.

Freddy Burger is the new owner of the market, and
the festival director is Urban Frye. For 2007, they are planning to continue
hosting the annual competition, alongside discussion panels and meetings on new
formats and technologies in TV production and distribution.

For the awards, Golden Roses will be awarded for
game-, reality- and comedy shows, sitcoms, soaps and telenovelas, as well as
performing arts and art documentaries. There will also be a special award for
the best opera recording, the best opera film or the best documentary about an
opera topic, in cooperation with IMZ (Vienna International Music Center).

The new festival center will be the Grand Casino in
Lucerne. The Awards Ceremony will continue to take place in the KKL (Lucerne
Culture and Convention Center).
