Regent to Present Little Ashes

LOS ANGELES: Regent Worldwide Sales has picked up the international sales rights for Little Ashes, and will present the title to distributors as a market premiere at this year’s EFM in Berlin.

Little Ashes stars Robert Pattinson (Twilight) as the famed artist Salvador Dali and Javier Beltrán (Zoo) as Federico Garcia Lorca and Matthew McNulty as Luis Buñuel. Regent Worldwide acquired the rights to film from British producers Aria Films and Met Film and their Spanish co-producer Factotum Barcelona.

Regent Releasing, Regent Worldwide’s sister company, acquired the North American distribution rights to Little Ashes in February 2008 and is slated to release the film in U.S. theaters beginning March 27, 2009.

"Regent is proud to present this high-caliber film to international distributors this year at EFM," said Mark Reinhart, the general manager and executive VP of distribution and acquisitions for Regent. "Little Ashes‘ story, beauty and the amazing chemistry between Beltrán, Pattinson and McNulty make for an impressive trio that will touch the hearts of audiences around the world."

"We are delighted to be extending our very successful working relationship with Regent, and to be represented by their excellent international sales team at EFM," added producer Carlo Dusi, who negotiated the deal on behalf of Aria Films, Met Film and Factotum Barcelona.
