Red Bee Media Creates New Identity For RTÉ One

LONDON, October 26: Red Bee Media has created 12 new idents
as well as an all-new graphics presentation for Ireland’s RTÉ One.

The new channel identity will launch November 3. It is
intended to express Irish heritage and values as well as the ethics of a modern
European country, and RTÉ One’s role in Irish life. Red Bee Media filmed all
idents in Ireland using local production staff and talent.

The on-screen graphics package meanwhile will offer viewers
more information about upcoming programs, with in-vision clips and coming soon
alerts.

“We designed the RTÉ One idents to express the common
rhythms of Irish life,” said Steven Aspinall, Red Bee Media’s creative
director. “For example, with the idents called 'eat', our differences might be
great, but they are dwarfed by our similarities. The new look celebrates the
invisible ties between the people of Ireland and positions RTÉ One as the
common link. The on screen presentation is a clean modern graphic style
designed to complement the idents.”
