Red Arrow International Presents MIPTV Lineup

MUNICH: Red Arrow International has unveiled its new slate of shows launching at MIPTV 2016, including the scripted crime series Bosch, which is back with a second season.

In season two, Titus Welliver reprises the role of Detective Harry Bosch from Michael Connelly’s internationally best-selling novels. Red Arrow International will be promoting the second season at MIPTV, alongside the new genre drama Cleverman and the crime drama Case. Cleverman was produced for ABC TV in Australia and SundanceTV in the U.S., while Case is an Icelandic original from the award-winning director Baldvin Z (Trapped, Life in a Fishbowl). There’s also the high-stakes espionage thriller The Romeo Section from acclaimed showrunner Chris Haddock (Boardwalk Empire), and the family event movie Peter and Wendy,  featuring an all-star cast including Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games).

“We continue to see strong demand for well-written, character-driven fiction across an eclectic mix of genres, as reflected in our new lineup for MIPTV,” says Henrik Pabst, the managing director of Red Arrow International.

“Red Arrow International is increasingly becoming a home for ambitious, international drama,” he adds.

Formats also remain a top priority for Red Arrow International, according to Pabst, “building on the global success we continue to enjoy with shows such as Married at First Sight, House Rules and Real Men.”

Among the company’s highlights are the reality format My Diet Is Better Than Yours, developed for ABC in the U.S., and the dating show Kiss Bang Love, which enjoyed a strong performance on ProSieben in Germany. The Day the Cash Came is touted by Pabst as a “groundbreaking new social experiment,” as it watches what families living below the poverty line do when they’re given a life-changing amount of money with no strings attached to how it’s spent. Further format highlights include Radio Face, which turns ordinary people into TV stars as they argue, debate and share stories while going about their daily lives; Channel 4’s competitive wedding-dress show All Hail the Veil; and the new ITV panel show Safeword.

“Our formats slate at MIPTV highlights our commitment to working with some of the world’s top creative talent across entertainment, reality and comedy,” Pabst says.

The factual and factual entertainment slate includes the BBC show The Hairy Builder, featuring one half of TV’s The Hairy Bikers, traveling across the U.K. exploring its most fascinating buildings; the new travel show Destination Unlimited; Mavericks Unlimited, billed as a show for men who are inspired by the thrill of wild adventure and the biggest, fastest and most dangerous machines, buildings and cars on earth;  My Selfie Life, an intimate portrait of young people’s lives, told in their own words; and new episodes of Married at First Sight USA,  Billy on the Street and Antiques Road Trip.
