Red Arrow Announces U.K. Expansion

MUNICH: ProSiebenSat.1’s Red Arrow Entertainment Group has set up shop in the U.K. with a local operation that intends to invest in British production companies as well as develop and package scripted properties for the international market.

Red Arrow Entertainment Ltd will be led by Joel Denton and James Baker as co-managing directors. Denton is a veteran of RHI Entertainment, while Baker spent more than a decade as controller of Sky One. This is the latest international expansion for Red Arrow, which recently acquired Kinetic Content in the U.S. and Sultan Sushi in Belgium. Red Arrow also expanded Sultan Sushi to the Netherlands and set up Snowman Productions for the Nordic territories.

"The U.K. market plays a key role in delivering high-quality drama and entertainment formats to the rest of the world," said Jan Frouman, group managing director of Red Arrow Entertainment Group. "We believe there are outstanding opportunities for us to invest in the very best U.K. creative talent, guided by Joel and James´ management expertise and experience."
