Rebrand for Faith & Values Media

NEW YORK, October 22: Faith
& Values Media, a nonprofit coalition of Christian, Jewish and Muslim
groups dedicated to media production, distribution and promotion, has been
renamed Odyssey Networks.

With the name change, the
organization is expanding beyond its TV roots as it embraces multiplatform
content and technologies. The organization will continue to produce and
distribute television programming through its own for-profit subsidiary,
Lightworks Program Distribution, and with leading producers of television and
film. It will also retain its two hours of programming per week on Hallmark
Channel through 2009. A new development is its Internet services division,
launched this year, which is tasked with developing and launching FaithStreams,
an online network.

“For two decades, we've
created and produced thousands of hours of the most inspiring, highly rated
programs on television,” said Robert N. Thomson, the acting president and CEO
of Odyssey Networks. “With its new name, Odyssey Networks is emphasizing its
mission to help people from various faith traditions—and people of good
will in general—to connect and share their unique stories and to discover
common ground using all the media central to contemporary life.”
