quarterlife Offered on iTunes

LOS ANGELES, February 25:
Hour-long episodes of the Internet-turned-network series quarterlife will be available for purchase and download from
Apple’s iTunes Store beginning tomorrow, the same day as its NBC premiere.

Following its debut
tomorrow, subsequent episodes will appear on the download-to-own service the
day of their network broadcast. Also available exclusively to iTunes customers
is a free, behind-the-scenes bonus featurette that includes interviews with the
series’ cast and creators, Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, the duo behind
My So-Called Life and thirtysomething.

The show began its run as
an Internet series created alongside a social-networking site, and was picked
up last November as an hour-long drama series by NBC. It will premiere on the
network tomorrow at 10 p.m., marking the first time a major TV network has
broadcast an Internet series. Following its network premiere, the show will
move to its regular time slot on Sundays at 9 p.m., beginning March 2.

Quarterlife looks at the crucial years between 20 and 30, when
so many of life’s important decisions are made. The series features the stories
of six creative people, including Dylan, a young woman whose overly truthful
video blog spills the secrets of her closest friends, who are the show's other
characters.

"It's exciting to
bring quarterlife to
iTunes," said Herskovitz, the co-creator of the series. "We're
overwhelmed with the enthusiasm the show has received to date and we're
thrilled to give fans another opportunity to watch the show with iTunes, and
it's exciting that viewers can take their favorite episodes with them wherever
they go on their iPod or iPhone."
