Q1 Revenues at Liberty Global Up 11 Percent

ENGLEWOOD, May 11: Liberty Global has posted first quarter
revenues of $2.1 billion, an 11-percent gain on the same period last year, with
a loss of $136.1 million, versus last year’s profit of $268.2 million.

The company had 22.8 million total revenue generating units
(RGUs) at March 31, 2007, with 14.7 million video, 4.8 million broadband
Internet and 3.3 million telephony subscribers. Of the 14.7 million video
subscribers, 11.1 million are for analog services, 2.6 million for digital
cable and 1 million for DTH. In the first quarter of 2007, Liberty Global added
nearly 3.4 million RGUs, driven by 3 million additions through merger and
acquisitions activity (principally Telenet in Belgium) and 357,000 organic additions.

In terms of organic RGU additions, 219,000 were broadband
Internet subscribers and 172,000 telephony subscribers. The company lost 34,000
video subscribers, due primarily to increased competition in Hungary and
Romania.
