ProSiebenSat.1 Welt Secures Bundesliga Rights

MUNICH, August 17:
ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s international channel, ProSiebenSat.1 Welt, is expanding
its soccer programming and has picked up the North American pay-TV rights to
Bundesliga matches.

ProSiebenSat.1 Welt acquired the
Bundesliga rights from sportsman media group, which markets the international
broadcasting rights on behalf of DFL Deutsche Fussball Liga. ProSiebenSat.1
Welt will be cooperating with Unity Media’s channel arena for its Bundesliga
coverage in the U.S. and Canada, airing its sports analysis show Die Grosse
Bundesliga Samstagsshow.

ProSiebenSat.1 Welt launched in
the U.S. in February 2005, and has already gained more than 14,000 subscribers.
Since June 2006, the station has also been on the air in Canada.
