ProSiebenSat.1 Q3 Revenues Slip 7 Percent

Group revenues for ProSiebenSat.1 Media were down 7 percent year-over-year to €820 million in the third quarter, in line with adjusted expectations announced in September.

External revenues in the entertainment segment were down 6 percent to €546 million, reflecting the current economic landscape and the reluctance to invest in advertising. Digital and advertising revenues in the German-speaking region were almost at the previous year’s level, with total advertising revenues in the entertainment segment decreasing to 6 percent.

The company’s streaming platform Joyn recorded dynamic growth, achieving a 42 percent increase in AVOD revenues. The platform reached an average of 7.7 million monthly video users in the third quarter, an increase of 13 percent compared to the same period last year. Viewing time increased by 42 percent to 12.7 billion minutes.

External revenues in the commerce and ventures segment dropped 5 percent to €208 million in the third quarter, mainly due to the deconsolidation of Verivox, which occurred at the end of the first quarter and had contributed €39 million to segment revenues in the third quarter of 2024.

Due to the weaker TV advertising business and the deconsolidation of Verivox, adjusted EBITDA declined 27 percent year-over-year to €76 million in the third quarter.
