Bell Media Closes Investment in Blink49 Studios

Bell Media has officially closed its strategic investment in Blink49 Studios, cementing a production and global distribution partnership between the two.

The deal will allow Blink49 Studios to expand its slate of scripted and unscripted projects across Canada and international markets.

Bell Media’s investment was made through Bell Ventures, which supports Canadian entrepreneurship and innovation. Together with Blink49 Studios’ anchor investor, Fifth Season, Bell Media is focused on delivering globally resonant content and strengthening opportunities for creators across scripted and unscripted programming.

Bell Media and Blink49 Studios have already partnered on projects such as Queen of the Castle, Don’t Even, Late Bloomer, Sight Unseen and The Trades, with additional titles in the pipeline.

“We’re thrilled to officially close this deal and launch the next chapter of our collaboration with Bell Media,” said John Morayniss, CEO of Blink49 Studios. “This partnership brings not only financial resources but also shared vision and strategic alignment, allowing us to grow our slate and reach new audiences at home and abroad.”

Sean Cohan, president of Bell Media, added, “Our collaboration with Blink49 will help Bell Media further our content and distribution goals and help us to deliver meaningful storytelling with domestic and global impact. We look forward to working with John and the excellent Blink49 team.”
