ITV Studios Strikes Deal with Bell Media

ITV Studios has inked a deal with Canada’s Bell Media for a slew of titles across its drama and unscripted slates, including Coldwater and Love Island All Stars.

Among the new scripted titles headed to Bell Media’s Crave and CTV are Coldwater from SISTER (Black Doves, Eric, This Is Going to Hurt), What It Feels Like for a Girl from Hera Pictures (I Fought the Law, Mary & George) and The Gathering from World Productions (Until I Kill You, Line of Duty, Vigil).

In Coldwater, Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead, Teachers) stars as a repressed man who is shocked to find himself in middle age. In the middle of an identity crisis, he moves his family to a rural town as far away from London as possible. He quickly befriends his next-door neighbor, not realizing that the neighbor is harboring horrifying secrets.

What It Feels Like for a Girl follows 15-year-old Byron, who escapes to the big city from a small town just outside of Nottingham. Life explodes when Byron discovers alcohol and drugs and is adopted into a family of troublemakers. The show explores the underworld of Nottingham in the U.K.’s early 2000s club scene.

The Gathering, meanwhile, centers around a violent attack on a teenage girl during a rave on a tidal islet. A group of teens from disparate backgrounds give equal cause for suspicion.

Also coming to Crave and CTV are the upcoming season of Love Island All Stars from ITV Studios and GroupM Motion Entertainment and new seasons of ITV America’s The Voice and Hell’s Kitchen.

“We’re thrilled to continue our greatly valued partnership with Bell Media and can’t wait to see this standout mix of scripted and non-scripted titles become some of the most talked about shows on their platforms,” said Katie Buchanan, executive VP of global partnerships in the Americas at ITV Studios. “From gripping, character-led dramas, including the highly talked about thriller Coldwater, which is set to air in over 40 countries, to returning entertainment juggernauts, like Love Island, The Voice and Hell’s Kitchen, this deal showcases some of the best of ITV Studios’ slate.”
