ITV Studios Taps Jemma Harvey as EVP for EMEA & U.K. Sales

ITV Studios has tapped Jemma Harvey as executive VP of EMEA and U.K. sales and distribution after she has led the EMEA tape sales team on an interim basis for five months.

In her new role, Harvey will be responsible for leading the EMEA and U.K. sales teams and drive growth across the region. Her remit includes the distribution of ITV Studios’ 100,000-plus hour catalog and managing high-level relationships with global streaming platforms and local broadcasters. She will also lead all co-production opportunities for key regional clients and drive new initiatives to maximize the value of the portfolio across digital and linear platforms.

Harvey joined ITV Studios in 2022 as senior VP of scripted global content, where she covered Kate Barnes’ role during her secondment to ITVX. Following Barnes’ return, Harvey responsibilities expanded and she became senior VP of scripted global content and co-productions. Harvey continued to work alongside Barnes in this role while leading the co-production strategy globally.

Recent co-production and presale deals Harvey has brokered include agreements for Winter with PBS Masterpiece, Ludwig and Code of Silence with BritBox and The Forsytes with 5. She was also instrumental in securing The Hack with ARTE and Ludwig with ZDF.

Prior to joining ITV, Harvey spent 20 years at BBC Studios, eventually rising to senior VP of sales and co-productions for the Americas, based in New York. She brokered an array of co-production deals, including I May Destroy You, His Dark Materials and End of the F***ing World, as well as executed highly profitable package deals with Prime Video, Hulu and Netflix and a nine-figure multiyear output deal with HBO Max. Before that, she worked for BBC Studios in London, where she held a number of positions, most recently head of content and development of digital.

“Having been a valued member of the ITV Studios team for almost four years, I’m absolutely delighted that Jemma Harvey is taking up the role of executive VP for EMEA and the U.K.,” said Tom Clark, executive VP of global sales and commercial strategy at ITV Studios. “She has already proven herself to be an exceptional commercial leader and her strong background in international content financing, co-productions and sales makes her an ideal fit for the position.”

Harvey commented, “I’m thrilled to step into this role and continue working with the talented teams across ITV Studios. As the U.K. and EMEA markets rapidly evolve, I’m looking forward to strengthening our partnerships with broadcasters and platforms, expanding co-production opportunities and maximizing the value of our content across the region.”
