Profit Drops 45 Percent at ProSiebenSat.1

MUNICH, November 10: ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s third-quarter
net profit dropped 45 percent to 13.1 million euros, despite a 3.7 percent
revenue gain to 431.3 million euros.

The company attributed the profit drop to one-off financial
charges: the July redemption of a 200-million euros note and the replacement of
a 500 million euros revolving credit facility.

Free TV revenues were up 4 percent, to 392.5 million euros,
while other revenues increased 3 percent to 377.9 million euros. Sat.1 revenues
gained 4 percent to 173 million euros, delivering a pre-tax profit of 28.7
million euros, a 20 percent gain. At ProSieben, revenues were up just 1 percent
to 149.1 million euros, but pre-tax profit dropped 28 percent to 18.4 million
euros. Kabel eins saw revenues rise 12 percent to 52.5 million euros, with
pre-tax profit up 30 percent to 8.6 million euros. And at N24, revenues rose 7
percent to 21.1 million euros and pre-tax profit soared 178 percent to 2.5
million euros.
