Portfolio Closes New Deals

TORONTO, September 12:
Portfolio Entertainment has closed several international deals on its catalogue
of animated, children’s and lifestyle programs, including a renewal in the
Netherlands and sales in Canada, Turkey, South Africa, Singapore and Malaysia.

The first three seasons of
the animated comedy series Carl2 have
been picked up by KTV (South Africa) and Ares Media.Net TV (Turkey), who, along
with MediaCorp TV12 (Singapore), also acquired the first 26 episodes of the
series Spellz. Jetix
(Netherlands) has renewed Carl2 for
the third season as well. The 65×30-minute series already airs on TELETOON
(Canada), Nickelodeon (Germany), ABC (Australia), ABC2 (Australia), VRT
(Belgium), Canal + Cyfrowy (Poland) and Noga (Israel).

ONE: body, mind, and
spirit channel (Canada, English) has acquired all 65 half-hour episodes of Breathing
Space Yoga
, a series that promotes
health and wellness.

The free TV broadcast
rights for all 26 half-hour episodes of the animated children’s adventure
series Toad Patrol have been
picked up by RTM (Malaysia).

APTN (Canada, French and
English) has acquired 91 15-minute episodes of the international (English) and
46 half-hour episodes of the domestic (French) versions of the preschool puppet
series, Igloo-Gloo, which
features two adorable baby seals.
