PorchLight Entertainment Launches New Online Video Site for Kids

LOS ANGELES, September 13:
PorchLight Entertainment has launched KidVideos.com, a new advertiser-supported
online video portal that will host user-generated content from kids.

The portal is currently in
the public beta stage. When fully released, the site will also provide online
tools and services for recording and editing videos online. PorchLight hopes
that the portal will provide an ideal platform for videos and programming
created by the growing number of children interested in film, video and
animation production. Kids can also share their creations with their peers and
family. As the first site of this kind dedicated exclusively to kid-focused,
user-generated content, KidVideos.com provides an easy to use, television-like
viewing experience of programming on the Internet. Staff editors screen all
submissions to KidVideos.com before posting to ensure age appropriateness and
preserve the family-safe nature of the site.

Bruce Johnson,
PorchLight’s president and CEO, commented: “As parents, we wanted to offer a
safe, secure environment online for kids to post their own content. That’s why
we created KidVideos.com. The site is for kids, by kids and about kids. KidVideos.com is all about
user-generated content, offering kids of all ages a safe harbor to share their
own creations, express themselves via their own video blogs and send their
creations to others.”
