PorchLight Announces Post-MIPTV Deals

LOS ANGELES, April 29:
PorchLight Entertainment wrapped a host of international deals at MIPTV, across
its kids’ and movie slates.

Farm Kids and Animalia were sold to Rainbow's HD VOOM networks, while Four Eyes and My Goldfish Is Evil were taken by CITV in the U.K. The 78×7-minute Ozie
Boo!
scored a slot on the U.S.
Hispanic outlet V-me.

On the movie front,
PorchLight expanded on its deal with Peace Arch, which released its Towards
Darkness
feature theatrically in
the U.S. PorchLight has closed a new multi-title deal with Peace Arch for both
Canadian and North American rights for several of its projects, including Renart
the Fox
and The Ultimate Gift.

The Family Holiday went to several key distributors, including Eagle
in Italy and Maple in Canada. In a multi-territory deal, Treasure Island
Kids
went to Jetix for the U.K.
and Scandinavia.

The MIPTV efforts were led
by the company’s founders, Bruce Johnson and Bill Baumann, and Ken DuBow, the
president of worldwide distribution. “We had a particularly busy market, which
was very gratifying,” DuBow said.
