Pocoyo Expands Latin American Presence

MADRID: Zinkia Entertainment has firmed up new deals in Latin America for its hit property Pocoyo, signing up additional licensing agents and broadcast partners.

A multi-territory free-to-air deal has been inked with Televideo (Albavisión) for Peru, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Paraguay and Argentina. This adds to the current broadcast roster that includes Canal 13 in Chile, Canal Colombia, Ecuador TV, Canal 5 in Mexico and Tves in Venezuela. The show also airs in Latin America on Discovery Kids.

Third-party licensing agreements were confirmed with IMC International Merchandising Consultants for Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay; BLG Brand and Licensing Group for Brazil; Doce & Friends for Chile; and Andelo in Peru. In Mexico, Pocoyo is represented by Televisa Consumer Products. A deal was also recently signed with Elite Global for the distribution of toys, including plush, bath toys and the Bump ‘n Go racing car for Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and the Caribbean Island.
