Playhouse Expands Indonesian Reach

SINGAPORE: Playhouse Disney is now accessible on five platforms in the Indonesian market, following new carriage deals with the DTH operators Top TV and Okevision.

The preschool channel, also carried on Indovision, First Media and Telkomvision, now has a total Indonesian base of more than a million subscribers. “Indonesia was the first market in Southeast Asia to launch Playhouse Disney in 2004 and we are pleased to extend the reach of our preschool learning channel to more Indonesian families through Top TV and Okevision,” said Laura E. Wendt, the VP and managing director of Disney Channels Southeast Asia.

Okevision has a total of 42 channels in the basic package and 11 channels in the ala carte packages. Launched in 2008, Top TV is one of two services operated by MNC Sky Vision. Both platforms cover all of Indonesia.
