Planet Green to Premiere Renovation Nation

SILVER SPRING, May 28: As
part of its launch next month, Planet Green, Discovery Communications’ 24-hour
eco-friendly network, will debut the hour-long series Renovation Nation, which aims to be a how-to guide to
environmental-friendly home building.

A sneak preview of Renovation
Nation will air Wednesday, June 4,
at 9:30 p.m., when Discovery Home Channel becomes Planet Green. Renovation
Nation officially premieres
Friday, June 6, at 8 p.m. and can be seen Mondays through Thursdays at 6 p.m.
beginning June 5.

The
series features handyman and Emmy Award-winning host Steve Thomas (This Old
House), who works alongside
homeowners to uncover design trends, find the latest in eco-friendly materials
and demonstrate innovative technology in “green” home building. Thomas shares
the secrets of making environmentally responsible transformations by teaching
homeowners and viewers which materials and designs encourage energy efficiency,
while also providing tips on making the process as affordable and simple as
possible.

Renovation
Nation is a daily series produced
for Planet Green by Mike Mathis Productions. The executive producer for Mike
