PBS KIDS Sprout, Time Warner Cable Extend Carriage Deal

PHILADELPHIA, September 10: The 24-hour multiplatform
preschool channel PBS KIDS Sprout has signed a new carriage deal with Time
Warner Cable, which already distributes the network’s VOD service.

Time Warner Cable joins other PBS KIDS Sprout carriage
partners such as Comcast, DIRECTV, Cox, RCN, Insight, AT&T and Verizon.
Time Warner Cable serves 13.4 million basic cable subscribers nationwide and is
the second-largest cable provider in the country. With the addition of Time
Warner Cable, Sprout is now available in 34 million unique households through
digital cable and/or Sprout On Demand.

PBS KIDS Sprout offers a variety of curriculum-based
children's shows combined with short-form original programs designed to follow
a preschooler's day from breakfast to bedtime. Sprout also provides 60 hours of
VOD programming each month, including 10 hours of Spanish-language programming,
including Plaza Sésamo, Angelina
Ballerina
, Barney & Friends, Bob the Builder, Jay Jay the Jet Plane and The Berenstein Bears.
