LONDON: The three-part series Making Faces, which debuted earlier this month on BBC, is getting its international launch at DISCOP with Passion Distribution.

The 3×1-hour program is produced by Landmark Films. Making Faces looks at babies and children with life-threatening conditions who undergo surgery that rebuilds their faces, and ultimately their lives. Cameras go behind the scenes to look at the Craniofacial team’s work they do for their patients and the families.

Nicholas O’Dwyer, executive producer for Landmark Films, said: "The work of the Craniofacial team is simply astonishing: they have transformed the life prospects of a whole generation of children who have passed through their doors. Some children have been so severely disfigured by their condition that people would stop and stare in the street. Through the Oxford team’s work, they undergo a transformation which means they wouldn’t attract a second glance in the playground. Much of this work takes years and the dedication of the surgical team and those who surround them is amazing. Filming with them over the past year has been a privilege."
