OWN to Launch Super Soul Sunday

LOS ANGELES: Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) is launching Super Soul Sunday, a three-hour Sunday morning programming block to premiere October 16.

Super Soul Sunday features unseen episodes of Oprah’s Soul Series, a series of conversations between Oprah and some of the most fascinating authors, thinkers and spiritual leaders of our time, uplifting feature-length documentaries, short-form content from Soul Pancake, the production company co-founded by Rainn Wilson (The Office) and more. The first two Sundays of the new three-hour block will include The World Beyond, in which Oprah interviews Jonas Elrod, a young filmmaker who says he woke up one day and suddenly began seeing angels, demons, auras and ghosts. Also to air is Crazy Sexy Cancer, a documentary that tells the story of an aspiring actress diagnosed with advanced stage cancer.
